Nepal offers a four-and-a-half-year MBBS degree programme in medical colleges in Nepal that covers all preclinical and clinical disciplines. The four-and-a-half-year MBBS course in Nepal is organized into nine six-month semesters. Students must complete a one-year residential rotational internship after successfully completing the course. English is the medium of instruction.

Preclinical Sciences, Community Medicine, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, and Medical Informatics are all covered in the first and second years of study of syllabus of MBBS entrance in Nepal 2021.
Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Physiology are examples of preclinical sciences. These topics are covered in Community Medicine and Introduction to Clinical Medicine, and they are taught together. Clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills are acquired by students. Medical informatics is incorporated to provide computer competence in medical education in Nepal.
There are university tests taken by medical universities in Nepal on each of the above disciplines at the end of the first and second years. A student must complete all pre-clinical sciences subjects in the first year of studying MBBS in Nepal within three years of enrolment and the second year within four years of MBBS admission in Nepal.
Before a student can be promoted to Clinical Sciences, he or she must pass all of the preclinical subjects (Semester V).

The final MBBS university examinations in Medicine and Allied Subjects, Surgery and Allied Subjects, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Paediatrics are held at the end of nine semesters. Clinical training takes place at Manipal Teaching Hospital and other nearby facilities.
