How to get admission in National Academy of Medical Sciences Nepal?

Getting admission into the National Academy of Medical Sciences Nepal (NAMS) is no easy feat. It requires dedicated hard work and commitment to achieve the highest marks in all the necessary examinations. The first step to gaining admission into NAMS Nepal is to take the National Medical and Dental Admission Test (NMAT), which is conducted annually by the Nepal Medical Council.

To be eligible for the NMAT, applicants must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination from a recognized school or college with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate. In addition, applicants must also have completed a two-year course in Medical Science from a recognized institute. Additionally, applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in the Intermediate of Science (I.Sc.) examination.

After passing the NMAT, applicants must appear for the NAMS Nepal entrance examination. The entrance exam consists of two papers, the first of which is a written paper and the second an oral examination. To pass the written paper, applicants must secure at least 50% marks. The oral examination is conducted in the presence of a panel of examiners and is intended to assess the applicant’s knowledge of the medical field.

Finally, after passing both the written and oral examinations, applicants must appear for an interview. The interview is conducted by a panel of experts from the NAMS Nepal and is the final step before admission. The interview is aimed at assessing the applicant’s knowledge and skills in the medical field.

Once all the necessary examinations and interviews are successfully completed, the applicant will be admitted into NAMS Nepal. After admission, the applicant is expected to attend all classes, tutorials and laboratory sessions as per the academic timetable of the academy. Applicants must also pass all the examinations conducted by the academy in order to be eligible for a degree from the academy.
