Medical Education Common Entrance Exam for Post Graduate Programs (MECEE- PG 2021)

Date of Application to MECEE PG: From November 21, 2021 to December 26, 2021

 
The Medical Education Commission is inviting applicants to apply online for the postgraduate common entrance examination 2021 Nepal, which will be held at all medical universities in Nepal, affiliated medical colleges in Nepal, and health science academies across the country.

Eligible Nepalese and foreign applicants may apply online from November 21, 2021, 10:00 AM to December 26, 2021, 4:00 PM (NST) using the website https://entrance.mec.gov.np for MECEE PG Exam in Nepal.

  • For Nepalese Candidates: NPR 5000/- (Rs. Five Thousands) or equivalent excluding bank charges 
  • For Foreign Candidates: NPR 8000/- (Rs. Eight Thousands) or equivalent excluding bank charges

The Medical Education Commission will administer a common entrance examination for students enrolling in various medical programmes in Nepal and medical colleges in Nepal, according to the National Medical Education Act 2075. In the current academic year, the Medical Education Commission is in charge of conducting the Postgraduate Entrance Examination.

Deadlines for submitting application forms

Submission of application forms begins at 10 a.m. on 2078 Mangsir 05.

2078 Poush 11, up to 4 p.m., is the deadline for submitting an application form.

Additional information for Medical PG Entrance Exam in Nepal

For any of the following categories, it is required to submit the application form before the deadline:

Foreign candidates to appear MECEE PG 2021

Foreign candidates who have not qualified for MECEE PG 2021 but have qualified for their respective nations’ national level admission will be given second preference for remaining seats.

To be eligible for matching, foreign applicants taking MECEE PG 2021 must earn at least 50% on the admission test.

Foreign candidates who are not applying for MECEE PG 2021 must score at least 50% in their respective countries’ national entrance exams. (If the result is given in percentiles, the candidates must have received a score of 50% or higher.)

If the number of qualifying foreign candidates is smaller than the number of seats allotted to foreign candidates, candidates will only have one chance to match.

If seats remain open after the first foreign candidate matching as indicated in (4), the remaining seats will be accessible to foreign candidates who have qualified in their national level entrance test of corresponding level in their countries and agreed to remain in the second priority. All remaining tickets will be given to Nepalese open (paying) seats from now on.

Selected international candidates must present original documentation at the time of admission and must register with the appropriate Nepali professional council before the start of the academic session.

Candidates who submit forged documents will be subject to legal action under Nepal’s current rules and laws.

Candidates must follow the laws and regulations of their individual academic institutions once admitted. During the training period, private practise is not permitted.

The Medical Education Common Entrance Examination Committee retains complete control over the entrance examination process of MECEE PG 2021 in Nepal.
