As you know, the application process for MBBS admission in Nepal has already started. Thousands of students across world have applied for the same like every year. The last date for application is 25th of April, 2021. We hope you too have applied for your seat.

Few questions are there we have been asked by many students who have applied and done the payment; questions that you too should be aware of. We have noted some of them below for your reference.

FAQs about MBBS admission in Nepal-

1. Q. In spite of paying the entrance fee the application is showing that the voucher number/ phone number is invalid? What should be done here?

A. Send a mail to entrance@mec.gov.np attaching the photo of your voucher and correct contact number.

2. Q. What should the size of the documents? What is the ideal pixel size?

A. No pixel is mentioned since it does not matter. The photo should be under 200kb, while the transcript should be within 500kb and can be uploaded in PDF format. Make sure to scan both sides or take picture of the citizenship certificate and it has to be clearly visible.

3. Q. What will be the process for application to a particular institution in Nepal?

A. Along with the publication of the entrance examination results, application will be called to prioritize the subjects and institutions of choice. Student’s enrolment will be done through merit based matching system.

4. Q. The address is different in citizenship certificate? What should I do?

A. Please use corresponding new local level address.

5. Q. I am an MBBS graduate working in a 2-year contract under ministry of health and population for more than one year, am I eligible to write the PG entrance examination in a government quota?

A. Yes, if you have completed at least one year of your service and still working in the government post, you are eligible to write entrance examination under government category. However, you have to submit, “No objection Letter” from respective ministry during application and upon selection in the postgraduate course, the remaining period of the contract will be added to the duration of the contract for your PG course.

6. Q. What if I made some mistakes while submitting the form?

A. You can edit the form as many times before you submit it. The form once submitted cannot be edited. If the common error like DoB is seen while verifying, you will be notified. Keep checking your email (junk folder as well).

7. Q. How can I know my application status?

A. Visit entrance.mec.gov.np Click “Check your status/Print Admit card” on the right side of the page. Provide your details and click “Search your status.

8. Q. What should be the date for council registration?

A. Since you work after you register in the respective council, you should use the initial date of registration (like in temporary registration if you have any). Submit document number and photo of permanent certificate if applicable. IF you have initiated the renewal process, you can proceed the registration certificate, you are currently having.

9. Q. What should I do if the thumbnail of the document I uploaded is not showing?

A. If the photo or the filename is shown in document upload section, it is ok to proceed with application. Please make sure your document has valid file size and is readable.

10. Q. How will I know the geographical category of the district I am working?

A. It is stated in Annex 16 of Civil Service Regulation.
